We Don't Read Quota Sheets.
We Read Conversations.
AION builds market intelligence that informs and never instructs. Selling it is harder than selling a tip service, because we will not promise what a tip service promises. We are looking for someone who can sell honestly to two very different buyers: a brokerage or fintech team (B2B) and an individual trader (B2C).
This role covers the whole path from a stranger's first question to a paying account: finding the right buyer, understanding who decides, answering objections with public evidence, and turning a trial into a subscription without pressure. It is not a cold-calling job. If you can only sell by overpromising, you will not enjoy working here.
How it works
- No CV, no cover letter. The puzzle is the application.
- Solve all three parts. Each one is required.
- Submit through the form on this page, or by email to [email protected] with the subject line Sales Architect: [your name]. Paste inline or attach a PDF. Write it yourself. Do not send a submission generated by an LLM. We build models, we will inspect it, and we will reject it instantly.
- Paid trial. If your submission is strong, the first engagement is a paid trial. If the trial goes well, we keep talking.
Part 1 (required): The leaky email
A well-meaning person drafted the sales email below for AION. It was never sent, and it should not be. It contains several problems. Some are false product claims, some are things AION will never say to anyone, and some are just poor selling. We are not telling you how many there are.
Everything you need to find them is public: our models page, the product pages linked from it, and the Veritas validation record. Read those, not this email.
Your task:
- Start with a product sheet: one short row for each of AION's four commercially deployed products (Veritas, Indian Market Intelligence, Edge Engine, Sentinel). For each, say who buys it (business, individual or both), how it is sold (trial, free plan, paid plan or gated access), what it does not do, and the public page that proves each point. A salesperson sells all four.
- List every problem you find in the email. For each one, quote the line, say what is wrong, and link the public page that proves it.
- Rewrite the email in under 150 words to one named kind of buyer, covering only the products that buyer would actually use. Pick either the product head of a mid-size Indian brokerage or an individual options trader. Every claim in your version must trace to a public AION page.
Part 2 (required): Pick one track
The four people in the room
A mid-size Indian brokerage wants to show sector impact from news and RBI announcements inside its trading app, using AION Indian Market Intelligence.
Four people will decide: the product head who wants it, the compliance officer who asks "is this advice?", the CTO who asks about the API and data handling, and the finance head who asks what it costs at scale.
- For each of the four, give the one question you would ask them and the one thing you would show them.
- Write the exact two or three sentences you would say to the compliance officer.
- Name one thing you would refuse to promise, even if it would close the deal faster.
Under 400 words. The IMI free plan and API documentation are public; use them.
The reply in the channel
A trader on day 5 of a Veritas trial writes in our public community channel:
"Your band missed yesterday. Why should I pay after the trial? And just tell me straight: calls or puts tomorrow?"
- Write the public reply, under 120 words. Be honest about the miss and point to the record. Decline the second question without lecturing. Still give a real reason to stay.
- Then design days 1, 3 and 6 of the trial: what the trader sees and receives on each, so that someone who pays has understood what they are paying for. No countdown timers, no fake scarcity.
Under 400 words in total.
Part 3 (required): The pipeline you would build
Describe how you would find and qualify the first 20 B2B prospects for one AION product, using public information only. Include:
- where you would look, and what makes an organisation a good fit or a bad fit;
- a scoring rubric of five lines or fewer;
- which steps you would automate once the pattern is proven, and which you would always do by hand.
This part is a plan only. Do not contact anyone on AION's behalf as part of your application.
How we judge it
We will tell you exactly what we weight. Transparency about evaluation criteria is part of how AION works.
| Criterion | What it tells us | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| Product truth | Every claim traces to a public AION page. | Highest |
| Buyer understanding | Who decides, who blocks, and why. | High |
| Restraint | Information, never advice; no pressure, no fake urgency. | High |
| Clarity | Plain words a busy person reads once. | High |
| Builder signal | You automate or measure your own work. | Bonus |
One rule decides on its own. If any sentence you write tells a buyer which way to trade, what to buy or sell, or what return to expect, the submission is a pass. That includes your rewrite in Part 1.
Submit your work
Use the form below, or email your submission directly to [email protected] with subject line Sales Architect: [your name]. Attach your answers as a PDF or paste them inline.
If you're wondering why there's no "Apply Now" button: this is the application.
A generic cover letter is an instant pass. Careful work built on our public pages is an invitation to a conversation. We read every submission that shows real engagement with the product pages and the validation record.
About the work environment
AION Analytics is a small, independent firm. The founder is active in the work, not a logo above a team. This means the feedback loop is short, the scope is real (not a training exercise), and the output matters from day one.
The role is remote. Compensation is output-based. The first engagement is a paid trial based on the challenge submission: if the work is strong, the conversation continues from there.
